The futureSAX Innovation Summit, July 2, 2015 at the Airport Dresden
With a new, innovative blasting system for surface treatment of mainly small metallic parts BMF GmbH was able to prevail against the Fäth Group from Klipphausen (2nd place) and ThyssenKrupp Presta Chemnitz GmbH (3rd place). The company convinced the jury of the Saxon State Award for Innovation in the categories novelty, feasibility and commercialization.
The jury selected the contribution of WAVELABS Solar Metrology Systems GmbH as the most innovative founding idea. The idea of the Leipzig-based company is to combine LEDs with different colors in such a way that the efficiency of solar cells can be determined more cost-effectively, accurately and reliably. Second and third place in the futureSAX ideas competition went to Airrays GmbH from Dresden and Conbox GmbH from Leipzig.

In addition to the main awards, two special awards were also awarded. The Augenoptik und Hörgeräteakustik Riedel GmbH from Dresden received the special award of the Saxon Chambers of Crafts for their contribution "EORA: Hearing Jewelry - Changeable Communication Jewelry". The winner of the "Special Award Emerging Industries" is Lipotype GmbH from Dresden with its application "Finding Lipid Signatures for Diseases". The winner of the second futureSAX online award, which was carried out with the friendly support of Cyberport GmbH, is Parkingslot GbR. Internet users were able to vote online for their favorite Saxon founding idea. The start-up from Leipzig with its idea of a smartphone app, which shows the user free as well as handicapped accessible parking spaces near his location, received the most votes.
